| Stemly Remote device | iPhone or iPad (iOS 17.6 or later) |
| Host device | iPad running GoBand Pro (required) |
| Connection | Same Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth range |

2 Installation
- On the controller iPhone: open the App Store and search for Stemly Remote.
- Tap Get — the app is free. No account required.
- Make sure GoBand Pro is already installed on the host iPad.
3 Connecting to GoBand Pro
- On the iPad: open GoBand Pro and navigate to the main playback screen.
- On the iPhone: open Stemly Remote.
- Stemly Remote scans the local network and connects automatically within a few seconds. No IP address or pairing code needed.
- When connected, the iPhone screen shows the current song name and playback status from GoBand Pro.
4 Controls explained
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| PLAY | Starts playback of the currently selected song on GoBand Pro |
| STOP | Stops playback immediately |
| Song list | Browse all playlists and songs loaded in GoBand Pro |
| Select song | Tap any song to load it into GoBand Pro (ready to play) |
| Status display | Shows current song name and whether playback is active |
5 Multiple remotes at once
More than one device can run Stemly Remote simultaneously and connect to the same GoBand Pro.
Example: bassist on iPhone controls PLAY/STOP from center stage, while the sound engineer on iPad monitors status from the mixing desk.
Whoever taps PLAY or STOP first takes control for that action. All connected remotes see the same live status at all times.
6 No Wi-Fi router? Use Hotspot
If the venue has no Wi-Fi, or you cannot connect to the house network:
- On the iPad running GoBand Pro: go to Settings → Personal Hotspot and turn it on.
- On the iPhone with Stemly Remote: connect to the iPad's hotspot in Wi-Fi settings.
- Open Stemly Remote — it connects to GoBand Pro automatically as usual.
7 Troubleshooting
Stemly Remote shows “Not connected”
1. Make sure GoBand Pro is open and on the main screen on the iPad.
2. Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth is enabled.
3. Close Stemly Remote completely and reopen it.
4. If still not connecting, close both apps, reopen GoBand Pro first, then Stemly Remote.
PLAY/STOP has a delay
This is normal on congested Wi-Fi networks. For the fastest response, use Personal Hotspot (see section 6) which creates a direct link between devices.
Stemly Remote disconnects during the show
Make sure the iPhone screen stays on. Enable Settings → Auto-Lock → Never on the Stemly Remote device. Also ensure the iPhone does not go into Low Power Mode, which can reduce Wi-Fi performance.
